My research interests are focused around how humans impact aquatic food webs. As a collaboration between the US Geological Survey and Seattle City Light, my current research is evaluating limitations to native trout and charr production in Ross and Diablo lakes. Using a bioenergetics-based approach to study these food webs, I aim to identify any environmental or trophic constraints to production of native fish, within the context of dam operations, invasive species, and climate change. By studying these freshwater systems which are facing increased threats I hope to contribute research that guides management actions to better conserve these critical natural resources. I am co-advised by David Beauchamp.
