I am a PhD student in the Olden lab and a biologist with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW). My research interests include understanding factors contributing to spatial heterogeneity of abiotic and biotic characteristics across riverscapes, how climate change could impact riverine systems in the future, and integration of this information into conservation and restoration strategies. For my thesis I am investigating the ecology of multiple non-native fish species and assessing impacts on native species in the Chehalis River, Washington through a combination of environmental DNA (eDNA), DNA metabarcoding and mixture modeling of predator stomach contents, and species distribution modeling.
